How do I change or pause my contributions?
Changing contribution amounts
From your paycheque
You can change your contribution rate by logging into your account and clicking "View details" below the current contribution amount. Then press "Cancel" and confirm that you want to stop your contribution. Next click on "Start contributing" on your dashboard to reset your payroll contributions.
If you make a change to payroll contributions, your employer will receive any changes you’ve requested within one week of your request. Changes will be dependent on your company’s payroll cycle and timelines.
From your bank account
If you're contributing from your bank account, in addition to payroll deductions, click on "View details" below the current contribution amount and press on "Edit" to change your monthly contribution. For those without payroll contributions, the "Edit" option is right beside your monthly contribution amount. Note that there is a month-end cutoff for any changes you make.
Transactions marked as pending in your “Upcoming Transactions” section of your “My Contributions” page can no longer be updated or changed.
Pausing contributions
From your paycheque
You can stop your upcoming contributions by logging into your account and clicking "View details" below the current contribution amount. Then press "Cancel" and confirm that you want to stop your contribution.
If you suspend payroll contributions because of a leave from work or other reason, your request will be sent to your employer within one week. You can choose to continue contributing to the plan through automatic withdrawals from your bank account.
From your bank account
If you're contributing from your bank account, in addition to payroll deductions, click on "View details" below the current contribution amount and press on "Cancel" to stop your upcoming monthly contributions. For those without payroll contributions, the "Cancel" option is right beside your monthly contribution amount. Note that you must cancel your scheduled contribution before the end of the month to ensure next month's contribution does not come out of your bank account.
You will still be a member of the plan and can continue to make contributions or restart your savings plan at any time.
