If you have an employee whose tenure has moved them into a different employee group, you can make this change directly in your Employer Dashboard account.
Steps to change an employee's group in the Employer Dashboard:
- Log in to the Employer Dashboard and navigate to the ‘Employees’ tab.
- Click on the employee whose group you'd like to change.
- Next to the employee's current group, select "Change Group".
- Select the group you'd like to move the employee to.
- Click submit to confirm your selection.
If your employee is being moved to a higher match group, they will receive an email with instructions to update their contribution amounts.
If you are unable to move an employee to a new group because the desired selection is greyed out, this is because you are trying to move an employee to an incompatible plan type (i.e. DPSP to RRSP only). If you’re experiencing this issue, please contact our support team to discuss the next steps.
Once your employee completes the update, you as the employer will receive an email to review and process the payroll contribution update request.

How to bulk update employee groups
If several employees have moved into a new matching group based on their tenure, you can update them all at once using a file upload.
To get started, click “Update Employee List.” Download the employee.xlsx template and enter the updates you’d like to make. Only include employees whose group is changing.
Once you upload the file, the system will review the contents and provide a summary of the changes so you can confirm everything before submitting.
When you’re ready, click “Submit” in the bottom right corner of the screen. Be sure you see the “Success” message before logging out.
