At My65+, we support transfers for most registered account types from other Canadian financial institutions. Some transfers can be started directly from the app, while others require a quick heads-up to our support team so we can help get things set up correctly on our end.
Accounts you can transfer directly in the app
You can start a transfer for the following account types right from the My65+ app or web portal:
- RRSP (Registered Retirement Savings Plan)
- TFSA (Tax-Free Savings Account)
- RRIF (Registered Retirement Income Fund)
Accounts that require a quick note to our support team
The account types below are also eligible for transfer, but they need a little extra coordination on our end. Here's how to get started:
- LIRA (Locked-In Retirement Account) — start an RRSP transfer in the app, then contact our support team to let us know it's actually a LIRA.
- DPSP (Deferred Profit Sharing Plan) — start an RRSP transfer in the app, then contact our support team to let us know it's actually a DPSP.
- Pension — start an RRSP transfer in the app, then contact our support team to let us know it's a pension transfer.
- LIF (Life Income Fund) — start a RRIF transfer in the app, then contact our support team to let us know it's actually a LIF.
Once you've let us know, we'll update your transfer request on the backend to reflect the correct account type — no need to start over or fill out anything new.
Accounts we don't currently support
At this time, we're not able to accept transfers for the following account types:
- Spousal RRSPs and Spousal RRIFs
- FHSA (First Home Savings Account)
